Sirloin Sandwich
Sirloin Sandwich Recipe
We have our own version of a bbq pork sandwich that has delicious homemade qualities! This is a great recipe for lunch or dinner, and easy to throw together. There are a variety of toppings that could be used for a sirloin sandwich however, we have found our absolute favorite so wanted to share that with anyone that is a pork sandwich fan like us!
What you’ll need: (roughly 8 - 12 mini sandwiches)
Sirloin steak (2 1/2 to 3 pounds)
Salt & Pepper
Coleslaw (raw cabbage, carrots) (as desired)
Mayonnaise (1/2 cup)
Milk (1 tbsp)
Barbecue sauce (1/2 cup or as desired)
Buns (as desired)
Cooking Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F
The sirloin steak can be left as is with only salt & pepper added on both sides. Cover with lid or tinfoil & place in the oven and let the steak cook for 4.5 hours.
After getting the steak in the oven, start putting together the coleslaw dressing in a glass bowl by combining mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt & pepper (majority of pepper), milk and mix together.
Once mixed, let sit in the fridge for a few hours (we let ours sit for the duration of the steak to cook).
Once the 4.5 hour is up, remove the steak from the oven and test out if the steak falls apart as it should (if more of a peel apart is desired, feel free to leave it in the oven for another 30-45 minutes)
Once the steak is fully shredded, mix in the pan with barbecue sauce.
Place back in the oven for 15 minutes.
Remove the steak from the oven
Grab the coleslaw mix (raw cabbage and shredded carrots) & combine with the sauce that has sit in the fridge for a few hours.
Add desired amount of steak & coleslaw to a bun, if desired, dip in your favorite BBQ sauce.
Thank you for using our recipe, we hope you love every bite!
